COMPETITION:

SAIL AWAY – Reproduce the KEE MARCELLO guitar solo!

The competition is free and open to all guitarists (except Kee Marcello).
You must record an audio file and videoclip with the reproduction of the Kee Marcello lead solo played on the song “Sail Away” from the CD "AphasiA" by Alex Falcone.

The best audio and video performance will be inserted in the music video “Sail Away”, produced by Rock Royce Records , with the intent of promoting and advertising the song and the musicians.

Settlement

  1. The audio recording must be at 44.1Khz 32bit, click time 90 bpm.
  2. The lead solo recording file in .wav format, that you send us, must be  separated from the backing track, you can  supply us also with a mix of lead solo and backing trk. in mp3 format.
  3. You may supply us with the lead solo recording file with or without processing and effects.
  4. You may supply us with a monophonic or stereophonic lead solo recording file.
  5. The digital high defintion video file must be in Pal format.
  6. The video take must have a 1 color background (green is best) or in an historical ambientation. (old walls, castles, woods etc).
  7. The video take must be in perfect synchronization with the audio performance.
  8. You cannot publish the audio/video recording on any web site before the deadline of the competition or you will be disqualified from the competition.
  9. After the deadline of the competition, regardless of the winning performance, you are free to publish the audio and/or videoclip performance in any web site.
  10. The deadline is October 20, 2009.

Advice:

Upload file n_ 1 in your digital recorder at the 00:00:00:00 left locator, set click time to 90 bpm.
Record several takes and choose the best one.
Bounce the backing track and the lead solo track in a stereo mix for the video takes.
With the help of a friend and a digital videocamera, reproduce the lead solo in playback, while you make the show!!

CONCORSO:

SAIL AWAY - Riproduci l’assolo di KEE MARCELLO! 

Il concorso è ad iscrizione gratuita ed aperto a tutti i chtarristi (eccetto Kee Marcello ☺ )

Consiste nel presentare una registrazione audio e video con riprodotto il più fedelmente possibile l’assolo di Kee Marcello presente sulla canzone “Sail Away” del cd Alex Falcone “AphasiA”. 

La miglior esecuzione audio in simbiosi con il video verrà inserita nel videoclip di futura produzione da parte della Rock Royce Records che verrà distribuita nei principali canali video del settore a titolo promozionale. 

Regolamento 

  1. La registrazione audio deve essere eseguita a 44.1Khz 32bit a tempo di metronomo 90 bpm.
  2. Devono essere forniti il file dell’assolo separato dalla base musicale in formato .wav e 1 mix assolo/base in formato mp3.
  3. E’ a discrezione del musicista presentare la registrazione pulita o già trattata con processori ed effetti.
  4. E’ a discrezione del musicista presentare la registrazione dell’assolo monofonica o stereofonica. 
  5. Il video deve essere in formato Pal digitale ad alta definizione. 
  6. Il video deve essere eseguito su uno sfondo in tinta unita (possibilmente verde) oppure, a discrezione del musicista, su uno sfondo originale in ambientazione storica. (mura, castelli, boschi ecc)
  7. L’esecuzione video deve essere perfettamente in sincrono con quella audio. 
  8. Non potrà essere pubblicata su alcun sito l’esecuzione audio e/o video prima della data di scadenza del concorso, pena la squalificazione.
  9. Superata la data di scadenza del concorso, anche se l’esecutore non sarà il vincitore, avrà la libertà di pubblicare la sua performance in qualsiasi sito internet. 
  10. Il termine di scadenza per la presentazione dei file e’ insidacabilmente il 20 Ottobre 2009. 
I files possono essere inviati su supporto cd o dvd dati, al seguente indirizzo:

Indicate all’interno della busta tutte le vostre generalità, nome, indirizzo, email, telefono, sito internet ecc.

Consigli:

Caricate il file n° 1 nel vostro digital recorder al punto d’inizio della canzone (Impostate il left locator a 00:00:00:00 ed importate la base), settate il tempo metronomico a 90 bpm.
Date sfogo alla vostra bravura registrando più riprese audio su tracce separate.
Scegliete la migliore e riproducetela fedelmente mentre con una videocamera digitale e con l’aiuto di un amico o un trepiede, registrate la parte video.
